Our Founder
Lailona Holloway
Lailona Holloway has over a decade of experience exploring the many languages of creativity, including painting, acting, filmmaking, writing, organization, photography, modeling, performing, and public speaking. Each discipline has been a way for her to understand the world and leave something meaningful behind. Moving frequently as a military child, she often felt like an outsider. You Are The Creator was born from that experience, offering a space for connection, community, and the freedom to craft a life intentionally and authentically.
As a Nichiren Buddhist, Lailona believes in the inherent dignity of each life and the power of individual human revolution to transform not only one’s immediate surroundings but also the wider world. She refuses to sit back while injustice, suffering, and disconnection unfold. Instead, she channels empathy, insight, and creativity into tangible action, helping individuals and organizations build lives and experiences of purpose, impact, and meaning.
For Lailona, her deep empathy and obsessive-compulsive disorder, which she was diagnosed with a little over a year ago, have been both a gift and a challenge. They have fueled her drive to help anyone and everyone who is suffering in the world. She has spent years observing pain and injustice and sometimes feeling paralyzed by it, until she realized that this energy must be put into creation and action. This understanding became the foundation of You Are The Creator, a space to move beyond hesitation and toward transformative change.
Through You Are The Creator, Lailona seeks to empower others to embrace both their strengths and vulnerabilities, pursue their unique purpose, and take meaningful steps toward creating a life and a world they are proud of. Her work reflects a deep commitment to guiding others to thrive, transform, and leave their own lasting mark.
