WHAT ARE CREATIVE HEALING SESSIONS?

A space for your soul to remember itself

When we create (paint, move, sing, or let our hands shape something from nothing) something shifts. A calm moves through the body. A feeling surfaces that words alone couldn't reach. And for a moment, we remember something we'd forgotten: that we are alive, that we are connected, that there is a higher version of ourselves that hasn't gone anywhere.

That is what these sessions are for. Not to fix you. Not to diagnose you. But to bring you back into alignment with your highest self, with your creativity, with the universe moving through you.

"When you create something, you align more with who you truly are. The noise quiets. The body remembers. You come back to yourself."

In the same way Reiki works with the body's energy to restore flow, Creative Healing Sessions work with your creative energy. Music, painting, movement, and voice become the channels through which something long held begins to move.

This is not a new idea. Across cultures and centuries — in Sufi music and movement, in indigenous African creative ritual, in the sacred art of many spiritual traditions — humans have always known that making things is how we stay in right relationship with ourselves and with life. These sessions are a return to that knowing.

YOU WILL FEEL

A sense of calm moving through your body. A reconnection to something you'd forgotten was there.

YOU WILL REMEMBER

That you are creative. That your feelings have a place to go. That you are more than what you've been carrying.

YOU WILL LEAVE WITH

Something you made, a practice to carry into your week, and/or a little more of yourself than you came in with.

The Modalities - Creative Disciplines & Session Activities

🎨 Painting

  • Intuitive painting to music — allowing the sound to guide color, movement, and emotion rather than thinking about what to create

  • Finger painting — reconnecting with instinctive, uninhibited expression by removing the tool and using the body directly

  • Emotion painting — choosing colors and marks that represent a specific feeling without trying to make it look like anything

  • Blind painting — painting with eyes closed to bypass the inner critic and access pure feeling

🎭 Acting & Performance

  • Monologue writing and performance — we write a monologue together drawn from your real emotions and experiences, and you perform it as a way of witnessing and releasing your own story

  • Improvisation and role play — exploring different scenarios, relationships, or versions of yourself through guided improv to build emotional flexibility and self expression

  • Mirror work — performing or speaking directly to yourself in a mirror as a tool for self recognition and compassion

🎵 Singing & Voice

  • Receiving song — you lie down, close your eyes, and I sing to you as a form of sonic healing and deep rest

  • Toning and humming — using your own voice as a vibrational tool, no musical skill required

  • Learning and reimagining a song together — we learn the same song and explore singing it in different emotional registers, tempos, or styles to experience how delivery changes feeling

  • Vocal journaling — recording yourself speaking or singing through an emotion without editing or stopping

🥁 Music Making

  • Instrument exploration — using drums, guitar, and digital tools like Chrome Music Lab to create sound freely, with no pressure to make something good. The goal is expression not performance

  • Intentional listening — choosing a song and listening with complete focus on one single element — just the bass, just one instrument, just the silence between notes — as a mindfulness and sensory practice

  • Collaborative jam sessions — making music together spontaneously as a way of practicing presence, play, and letting go of control

  • Film score listening — watching a scene with and without its music to experience how sound shapes emotion and perception

💃 Movement & Dance

  • Intuitive dance — moving however your body wants to move with no choreography, no mirrors, no performance. Letting sensation lead

  • Painting and dancing simultaneously — moving to music while creating on canvas, allowing the body and the art to inform each other

  • Somatic shaking — a gentle practice of allowing the body to shake and release stored tension, rooted in the body's natural stress response

  • Walking meditation — moving slowly and intentionally through a space while paying attention to sensation, sound, and breath

🏺 Clay & Sculpting

  • Intuitive hand sculpting — working with clay without a plan, letting the hands respond to feeling and instinct rather than trying to make something specific

  • Emotional sculpture — creating a physical form that represents something you're carrying, then deciding what to do with it — reshape it, flatten it, transform it

  • Nature sculpting — using found natural materials like sticks, stones, leaves, and soil to build something temporary and then release it

✂️ Collage

  • Magazine collage — cutting and arranging images and words from magazines intuitively to represent an emotion, a vision, or a chapter of your life

  • Printed image collage — curating and printing specific images that speak to where you are or where you want to go and assembling them into something meaningful

  • Collage storytelling — creating a sequence of collages that tell a story of transformation — where you were, where you are, where you're going

  • Vision collaging — building a tangible, artistic representation of the life you are creating

✍️ Writing

  • Letter writing — writing a letter to your past self, your future self, or someone you need to release

  • Poetry writing and performance — crafting a poem from your real emotional landscape and then performing it aloud as an act of reclamation

  • Book development — for clients with a book living inside them, we work together to pull it out, shape it, and move toward publishing it

  • Stream of consciousness writing — writing without stopping, editing, or lifting the pen for a set amount of time to access what lives beneath the surface

  • Gratitude and grief writing — structured writing practices that honor both what has been lost and what is present

🖊️ Drawing & Coloring

  • Mandala drawing — creating circular, repetitive patterns as a meditative and grounding practice that quiets the nervous system

  • Intuitive drawing — drawing with eyes closed or without looking at the paper, bypassing the critical mind entirely

  • Drawing to music — allowing sound to guide the hand across the page, responding to rhythm, tempo, and emotion

  • Zentangle — structured repetitive pattern drawing used as a calming and focusing practice

🪴 Crafting & Making

  • Nature crafting — using materials gathered from outside — leaves, flowers, bark, stones — to build something that connects you to the natural world

  • Plant pot painting — painting and decorating a pot, then planting something in it as a living symbol of what you are growing

  • DIY projects — building or making something with your hands as a practice in patience, focus, and the satisfaction of creation

🍳 Cooking & Nourishment

  • Intuitive recipe creation — exploring flavor, color, and texture as a creative and sensory experience rather than just a functional one
